La Siesta takes the upper floor of a beautiful and age-old house, surrounded by the green of lemon orcharchards in a residential area yet centrally positioned.
The house is airy and bright with all the home comforts including air conditioning and central heating. The charming exterior spaces will enable you to enjoy great moments of relaxation outdoors with views of the sea and roof tops of the village of Minori. Access is through a short pedestrian path which consists of 70 steps, including those which lead to the entrance of the house.
Entrance is into a spacious living / dining room typically furnished with table and chairs, arm chairs, a couch and satellite TV. A small corridor leads to the two bedrooms, one twin and one double bed room. From the double bedroom there is direct access to the shower room which also has another door leading into the living room.
The separate kitchen is fully equipped with dishwasher, a four burner stove, a fridge with freezer, an oven, and microwave. There is also a washing machine and dryer.
The sun drenched terrace which overlooks Minori, the sea and verdant lemon orchards, is paved with terracotta and furnished with a gazebo, table and chairs, sun loungers, and barbecue, this is perfect to spend time while enjoying breakfast, dining and delighting yourself with the sweet hours of sunset.
You do not need a car during your stay at La Siesta as public transport is very good and bus stop is nearby as well as grocery shops and restaurants within walking distance, however if you do hire a car, there is a garage in Maiori (1 Km away) who will collect your car and bring it to you whenever you need it at a daily cost of Euro 10,00.
The sea and the sandy beach of Minori are about 300 meters from the house, one can reach them on foot after going for a pleasant walk. On the beach you will find bars and restaurants and in case you want deck chairs and umbrellas they are available for rent as well.. The beach in Minori is framed by a along public garden, so called lungomare which is a place where one can go for a stroll, sit at the tables of outdoor cafès or even go shopping.

Location & Area
La Siesta is situated in the centre of Minori, along the Amalfi Coast, but only 4 Km. from Amalfi and 8 Km. from Ravello. We do not recommend having a car at this property - the nearest grocery shop, bus stop etc... is 200 m.
Minori is an enthralling small town near Amalfi, nestled on a narrow valley which stretches down to the sea, where it becomes a bay in a crescent moon shape. It is famous for its sweet specialities, and you have to try the candies and desserts of its pasticcerie (bakeries) !
Nearby tourist attractions Amalfi is about 5 km (about 3 miles) away, and Positano is 15 km (about 9.3 miles) away. Minori is connected to other towns of the coast through buses of the company SITA. From the harbour of Minori, ferries leave to Salerno, Amalfi, Positano, Capri, Sorrento, and Naples. Staying at La Siesta is ideal for those who wish to enjoy a beautiful and large beach close to places of the area of great tourist interest as Amalfi, Ravello, Positano, Capri, Sorrento, Pompeii, Paestum, the Reggia (Royal Palace) of Caserta, among others.
From Minori there are SITA buses which connect all the Amalfi Coast towns and Sorrento Coast, also ferry boats to Capri Positano and Sorrento.
From La Siesta, those who like hiking and climbing will be able to easily reach the famous trail along the ridge of the mountains that overlook the Amalfi Coast. For its extraordinary beauty, made of precipices and breathtaking views, the trail is called “Sentiero degli Dei”: Path of the Gods.
If you are fond of archaeology, Pompeii, Herculaneum and Paestum are easily within reach, and, of course, Naples and Salerno as well.
Check-in procedure
Check-in times between 3 pm. and 8 pm. Arrival after 8 pm. can be arranged at a Late Arrival charge of Euro 55,00.
Breakage deposit is required in cash only upon arrival = Euro 300,00 and refunded on departure day provided no damages occur.
Local Supplements
Highchair and Cot with linen are available at weekly supplement of Euro 55,00 payable locally.

How to get there
There are several ways to get to the Amalfi Coast from Naples Capodichino Airport or Naples / Salerno Train station either by renting a car or by public transport.
It is also possible to arrange private transfer directly to Minori/properties.

Once at the property you can get around fine without the car as parking in the towns is hard to come by and expensive. Public Busses operate year-around connecting all the Amalfi Coast villages and Sorrento area.
Ferries ( from May to October ) operate a service between Amalfi – Positano – Sorrento – Capri Island – Naples and Salerno.
