L'Angolino is on the first floor of a characteristic building in the style of the Amalfi Coast. It features a private sea view terrace, air conditioning and winter heating. This little house lies below the main house and is completely independent.

After climbing about 30 steps from the road side you will arrive in a small angle of paradise hidden amidst Bougainvillea and flowers, a place from where you will enjoy breathtaking scenery. You are in one of the little white houses of Positano, each with its own small garden of flowered terrace and inhabited by local families and not crouds of tourists.

Positano's tightly packed Moorish style houses start their dramatically steep climb from the blue bay, then ascend ever more sharply, below and opposite you. Above you are rugged cliffs and hillsides with clinging patches of green - a striking view never to be forgotten. At night, an alfresco dinner aloft, with hundreds of shimmering lights as your audience. Positano isn't quite real when you are there.. said John Steinbeck. A maze of narrow streets and steep staircases lead to terraces festooned with flowers and lanes flanked with cafès and small shops.

Renewed in 2010, L'Angolino is furnished with authentic antique pieces. Entrance is in a cosy dining room with glass doors to the balcony and furnished terrace partially covered by a pergola and Bbq. Kitchen corner equipped with gas stove, small, electric oven, fridge / freezer. The small sitting room is well separated and has a comfortable single divan bed. The elegantly furnished double bedroom has access from the dining area up 4 steps and through an archway graciously covered by double curtains.

The bathroom is equipped with a washbasin, a toilet, a bathtub with fixed shower head, washing machine and hair dryer.

You will not need a car while staying at L'Angolino. If you do have one, you will be able to park it along the public roads (the actual distance might vary depending on the availability of parking spaces and time of year) or in a private parking lot downtown where a space can be reserved.

This property is available for a minimum stay of seven nights.

Location & Area

L' Angolino located on the SS163 and almost halfway along the Amalfi Coast, stylish Positano is only 200 m. away with its wealth of shops and 600 m. from banks, chemists and good beach. The quickest way down to the main centre of positano is by catching the convenient Interno Positano bus which runs constantly within and around Positano.
From L' Angolino, those who like hiking and climbing will be able to easily reach the famous trail along the ridge of the mountains that overlook the Amalfi Coast. For its extraordinary beauty, made of precipices and breathtaking views, the trail is called “Sentiero degli Dei”: Path of the Gods.
From the dock in Positano you will also be able to board ferries and hydrofoils to Amalfi, Capri, Salerno or Sorrento Coast and Naples, as well as go on mini-cruises. You must indeed take a tour of the coast from the sea.
If you are fond of archaeology, Pompeii, Herculaneum and Paestum are easily within reach, and, of course, Naples as well.

Check-in procedure

Check-in times between 3 pm. and 8 pm. Arrival after 8 pm. can be arranged at a Late Arrival charge of Euro 55,00.
Breakage deposit is required in cash only upon arrival = Euro 300,00 and refunded on departure day provided no damages occur.

Local Supplements

Highchair and Cot (Baby under 2 years old) with linen are available at weekly supplement of Euro 55,00 payable locally.
If required, Heating/Air Conditioning supplement is Euro 0,40 per Kw.
Welcome pack service charge Euro 10,00 - Our English speaking local agent in Italy provides a personal shopping service for food items which they deliver to the accommodation prior to your arrival. This is not a set welcome pack but is tailored to your individual requirements. If you are interested in this option, please contact us via email at reservations@villarentalhols.com and give us your list of items including quantities. It is important to do this at least a week before your departure. You will need to pay in cash on arrival at the property, so please ensure you have taken enough Euros with you. You will be charged the local price for the goods (a receipt will be given) plus a delivery charge of 10,00 Euro.
Final cleaning charge = Euro 50,00 payable up on departure.

Municipal Holiday Residence Tax payable locally in cash.

How to get there

There are several ways to get to the Amalfi Coast from Naples Capodichino Airport or Naples Train station either by renting a car or by public transport.
Also possible to arrange private transfer directly to Positano/property.
Ask us for quotation.
Once in Positano you can get around fine without the car as parking in the towns is hard to come by and expensive.
Public Busses operate year - around connecting all the Amalfi Coast villages and Sorrento area.
Ferries (from May to October) operate a service between Positano - Amalfi – Sorrento – Capri Island – Naples and Salerno.

This reviewer told us : We just arrived home after a very enjoyable stay in Positano at the Angolino vacation home. I don't think we will ever forget that view from the balcony/patio and I would have to say that it was the best view in Positano. The location was also perfect, as we were able to walk up and down the hill easily enough each day. The house provided us with everything we needed. 

Particular Notes : I wouldn't hesitate to stay there again, if we return to Positano.

Particular Notes : There also seems to be an Ant problem around the house, they made their way into the house. You might just need to spray something to get rid of them. 

Suggestions : the only suggestion is to have a few more towels, especially if going to be there a week.

This reviewer told us : Overall, my partner and I were very happy with our stay at Angolino. The Amalfi Coast is an expensive part of the world and as such the apartment provided relatively good value for money. The property also felt very safe and secure with a front gate very effectively closing off unwanted access. The views were absolutely magnificent and the outside balcony area proved an excellent place to spend time relaxing and having a drink. The bouigainvillia was great and adds substantially to the outdoor experience. The property is very close to the main through road on a corner. We had seen someone else's review where this factor was highly criticised due to noise and the ascent necessary to access the property. We found this criticism grossly unfounded. The noise was not an issue for us during our stay in early June - we were almost unaware of it. As for the ascent - we are in our mid-50s - there was not a problem. From the road I think it is just 30 odd steps up to the property. However, you do need to take care on the road. The climb up from Positano sea level was not a problem for us but in any event is well serviced by the local bus. Everything is within walking distance - keeping in mind that Positano is built on hillsides, which is what essentially provides the magnificant views. We would have no hesitation in recommending this property and this part of the world to our friends. The managing company was very helpful and polite. 

Particular Notes : Other than breakfast we didn't eat at the property but we felt that the property presentation could be further improved by adding a microwave cooker and conducting a review of the kitchen utensils to ensure that they are sufficient and modern. 

Suggestions : One administrative negative was the need to find EURO 300 upfront in cash to cover potential breakages. You get the cash back when you leave but if you are leaving the Euro zone you end up with unwanted cash that must subsequently be converted with all the charges and margins that go with it. We feel that there must be a better way of handlling this issue. Indeed it is the only place where we have ever stayed that we have been asked for such a deposit. But as mentioned this is administration issue and not a reflection of the property itself.
