Italy Vacation Rental

This reviewer told us : Do not miss the opportunity to stay at this unique villa in wonderful Sorrento. We stayed for 14 nights with our 2 daughters and their partners and have been holidaying in Sorrento for the past 10 years. This villa packs a lot of features in and is not clinical and impersonal as so many other properties are in the area. One of the many plus points of Villa Marcella is that each of the 5 bedrooms is of comparable standard so there is no problem about one couple feeling they have got a raw deal in having a child's or box room. Very, very few villas of 5 bedrooms offer this facility. 

Particular Notes : You can be confident that you will have a lovely relaxing holiday with great indoor and outdoor space, a secure environment, walking distance to the local shops and beach - an easy 10 to 15 mins. We would book again without hesitation.

We took our two friends the house was even better than the photos !Iimmaculate Friendly owner and wife as well as our house manager very helpful also with the House Book in the villa - that was really hepful. The Residence s.pool just up the road which we used twice is absolutely fantastic too and not expensive ! I would reccommend this to my best friend too ! 

Particular Notes : Lovely and large garden, with olives trees. Well keept, perfect for children. 

Suggestions : Only one negative point ..... our stay was too short ! 

This reviewer told us : We stayed at the Villa Rosa in apartment Magnolia for 5 glorious nights. Laura and armando were helpful and responsive and the apartment comfortably accommodated our group of 6. The grounds are amazing - everywhere we turned there was a lovely veranda, garden or lemon grove and the views will blow your mind. The kitchen was large and spotless, as was the entire property. We would stay here again and recommend the property to friends. 

Particular Notes : Some things to note:* The driveway to the property (which is gated and private) is treacherous. We had a large van and had considerable trouble getting in and out. If you have a Vespa or regular sized car (or even a mini van) you will not have a problem.* The stairs leading to the village of atrani are not for the faint of heart! We are relatively healthy and really struggled climbing back to our villa each day. On a positive note, if you're looking for a workout while on vacation, this is will hit the spot.* Speaking of stairs, the entire property is like a wild maze of steps and hidden alcoves. Charming as heck but not handicapped accessible and could be a serious challenge for some. I had to stop for rest twice just getting to the laundry room!* We had to furnish pretty much all the necessities you will need in the kitchen such as dishsoap, tin foil, paper towels, etc. Stop at the market in Ravello or amalfi before you check in because you will not want to lug groceries up those steps if you shop at the market in Piazza Umberto.

Great Location - views of Positano and the coast are magnificent.Very confortable apartment.We enjoyed our walks up to the shop on Monteportuso and enjoyed a lovely lunch at Donna Rose. This reviewer told us : Thank you for a wounderful stay.Both the apartment and the terrace is perfect.We enjoyed our stay very much.The walk down to Positano isn't as hard as it seems and besides, the bus service is very good- no need to bring out the car!!We especially enjoyed our visit to Nocelle and a short trip on the Sentiero degli dei. We had a wounderful lunch at trattoria Santa Croce before walking along the old mountain road back to Montepertuso, a walk enjoyed both by us and our two daughters, eight and ten years old.We will be longing to come back.Nicola, Brunilla, Nicke & Dicke....

It was fun to shop local and coole in the evening.The location madet it easy to get to the market and into town.The people are warm and welcoming.Let's hard to leave, but our memories of the view and the hospitality will stay with us.Debbie & Joe

It was a great relaxing after touring the Amalfi coast and the view is wounderful from the terrace..Everyone in town is helpful and the entire experience was much more than I was expecting.The food & wine stocked when we got here, was appreciated as well the clear explainations of how to get to town via Bus!I really recomend the tour ( via boat ) of Capri! What a great treat that was!Lovely visit and I will absolutly come back!!!Michael
